Motorola announce on Monday that the company will split into two entities in 2009, because the handset division continues to lose money.

After the announcement Motorola’s stock lost another 5 percent, investors are concerned that this year will be disappointing for the company. 

Motorola will separate Mobile Devices unit from Broadband & Mobility Solutions operations which includes television set top box and network equipment business.
